Tracey Wilson

Tracey will be losing her locks to help bring Sophie home

Well done to Tracey Wilson from Newport. Tomorrow (Thursday) she’ll be having her very long hair cut off and donated to the Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children who have lost their hair to due Cancer treatment.

OnTheWight reader, Sue Light, got in touch to tell us about this kind act that Tracey is doing (at Gillian’s Hairdressers on 23rd June at 3pm).

“She really is a star”
Sue said.

“My friend Tracey Wilson, who works at Pan Stores, has been raising money to help a six year old local girl, Sophie Gully, who has recently had a brain tumour removed.

“Sophie is due to come home from Southampton General very soon.

“Tracey has raised over £2,500 by holding a raffle, Facebook auctions and now having her hair cut off. She really is a star.”

Tracey is hoping to raise as much money as possible, a quarter of which will go to the Little Princess Trust, the rest to Sophie Gully’s family.

If you would like to make a donation, either message Tracey on Facebook or pop into Pan Stores and leave details of your name, amount and contact details.
