Acclaimed musician and campaigner Tim Arnold is heading to St. Catherine’s Church, Ventnor, for an intimate, acoustic gig on Thursday 11th August.

Organised by Fret-Buzz music magazine and festival blogger Luke Joynes, the concert will be held in aid of WellChild UK and will form part of the Ventnor Fringe Festival programme.

Tim will be playing at the unique venue following successful shows supporting Wet Wet Wet, as well as a slot on the Hard Rock Stage at the Isle of Wight Festival this year.

He is also an active campaigner and founded ‘Save Soho’, working alongside celebrities like Stephen Fry and Benedict Cumberbatch to support the performing arts scene in the London district.

Compared by Iggy Pop to Bowie
Last year, Tim auditioned for The Voice and was selected by Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson to go through to the following round.

He has also written original music for the Carnaby International produced film, Blood Orange, which was successfully launched at the Cannes Film Festival. Tim made headlines when the film’s star and legendary musician Iggy Pop compared him to David Bowie.

Charity event
All profits from the concert will be donated to WellChild UK, supporting disadvantaged children and their families up and down the country with the best care possible.

Luke Joynes, founder of the Isle of Wight Music Festivals Fansite, said,

“I saw Tim perform at the Isle of Wight Festival this year and his voice was one of the best I heard over the weekend. Although the festival scene is very vibrant here, there aren’t many opportunities to see established musicians play at concerts on the Island, so it will be a great chance to see a performer of Tim’s calibre play in this unique setting.”

Jake Priddle, editor of Fret-Buzz added,

“I’m seriously looking forward to this gig in August. With the class act, Tim Arnold, and the selection of support acts hand-picked by Luke, this is set to be a fantastic evening of acoustic musicianship.

“It’s all in aid of WellChild UK and happening during the Ventnor Fringe Festival so get on over to Ventnor for an unmissable gig.”
