PozFest 2011: Box Your Way Out Of A Bathing Suit

With only five weeks to go until the return of the brilliant PozFest, if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, make sure you do it soon, they’re selling like hotcakes!

As well as all the delights of the PozFest tent, Silent Disco, DJ in the woods etc, the most-excellent Box Collective will be swinging back to the Island again this June.

They’ve pulled together an eclectic lineup of live music for your festival enjoyment, including Sabrepulse, The Shutes, Spree, Hedluv and Passman, ABC, San Louis Obispo, Motna, The Guy Page Trio, Stu Collins, One Man Book and Jack Duff.

Master mixes on the DJ lineup
But it’s not all live music, the masters of mixing will be back with their flightboxes and laptops bringing with them a diverse range of tuneage.

Look out for Blende (house / electro), Motna (DJ – electro / house / funk), Bastian Bux (DJ – electro / house / breaks), Buckhorn Weston (DJ – synth / electro pop) and Shnazy (DJ – tech house).

Dig deep in the fancy dress box
As we all know, it wouldn’t be a festival on the Isle of Wight without the obligatory fancy dress.

Given we’re surrounded by water, the Friday night fancy dress theme is ‘all things to do with the seaside’.

So dust down your Victorian bathing suits or dig out your Bestival 2008 fancy dress outfit (remember when we were all 30,000 leagues beneath the sea? or was it mud?).

Saturday night will be going all Sexy Salsa, but more coming on that soon.

So, what are you waiting for? Get online to book your tickets now. Only £65 for the entire weekend. Bargain or what!

PS. Don’t forget money raised at the festival goes to the Paulo Memorial Fund, a charity set up to keep the spirit of Paul Brewer alive by funding projects Paul would have supported and been passionate about.
