The Niton and Whitwell Parish Council has stepped in to organise a minibus service following Isle of Wight Council cuts to community bus services. The new service launches next week.

Undercliff Drive: Leader of the council says delays are ‘unacceptable’


Yesterday the council advised the owners of landlocked properties on Undercliff Drive that the promised access road to their homes would not be built for at least another year. Today the leader of the council says the delay is unacceptable. Confused? Imagine how the residents feel.

Work on reinstating the road from Niton to the landlocked properties on Undercliff Drive starts this week. Residents can expect to be able to use the road to their properties later this year.

Council’s plans for Undercliff Drive appear to have glaring errors

The council have issued plans to the public today, but it looks like there's some really glaring errors in them. Not only that but even council officers admit they haven't even done costings yet. How can they say they're starting in just two months?
