IW Foodbank helped feed 560 Islanders in December

A whopping 560 people living on the Isle of Wight were fed with the help of IW foodbank in December 2012.

It might seem a small number when compared to the 27,000 people in the UK that the Trussell Trust report received emergency food in the two weeks before Christmas, but is significant for the Island.

Fundraising sale
This coming weekend, Isle of Wight Foodbank are holding a fundraising clothing and furniture sale in order to raise awareness and funding.

There’ll also be a range of nearly new clothes, shoes and boots, hats and gloves, coats and jackets, dresses and more from just 50p.

You can also drop off any unwanted clothes you may wish to donate.
