Tagore String Trio return to Northcourt for charity recital

Thanks to Helen for sharing details of this upcoming charity concert. Ed

This year’s concert by the Tagore String Trio takes place on Tuesday 13th September in the beautiful music room at NorthCourt Manor House in Shorwell.

As part of a four day chamber music course at NorthCourt, the tutors will be giving this recital and, as always, will open it to the public in aid of charity.

A varied programme
Starting at 8pm, the Tagore String Trio will be presenting a varied programme of string music from the unfairly neglected string trio repertoire as well as duos, including music by Parry, Purcell, Weinberg, Rebecca Clarke and Beethoven.

Frances Mason, violin, and James Halsey, cello, will be joined by international viola player, Jonathan Barritt, and will entertain with insightful introductions as well as uplifting music.

Cancer Research UK
This year the concert will be supporting Cancer Research UK. The charity funds research in many areas of cancer treatment and in clinical trials and is making consistent progress, hoping eventually to ‘beat Cancer’. Cancer survival has doubled in the past 40 years.

Please reserve your seats with Christine Harrison on 01983 740415, as numbers are limited. Entrance is free, with a retiring collection and refreshments will be available.
