Passengers on a Wightlink ferry were informed yesterday afternoon (Sunday) that a fire had broken out on board St Cecilia.
They were swiftly moved to the top deck, whilst the small fire was dealt with.
A spokesperson for Wightlink confirmed to OnTheWight,
“There was a small fire in a bin room on the main car deck of St Cecilia on Sunday afternoon.
“It was discovered on arrival at Fishbourne at 17:10.
“The crew put it out immediately.”
