Islanders form giant human peace sign (aerial photos)

Islanders gathered on Appley Beach last night (Wednesday) to mark the UN International Day of Peace.

Ramon Cowell had organised the event, with the aim to create a giant human peace sign.

Ramon told OnTheWight,

“I would like to thank all those who turned up, including a couple on holiday from the USA, it was fantastic to see everyone standing in unity with the rest of the world on International Peace Day.”
