GCSE results this year have been excellent once again with:

  • 68% of all grades A*/A
  • 91% A* – B and
  • 100% A* – C

There was an excellent spread of top grades over all subjects at A Level too, with an impressive 44% of all grades A*/A and 80% A*- B.

The next Open Morning for the whole school takes place on Saturday 8th October from 9am to 12.30pm.

The school is just a ten minute hop across the Solent on the Hovercraft, then only a five minute walk across the common and there is a minibus pick up service from the hover terminal.

Join in with activities
At the Junior School there will be a Round the World themed activity morning with plenty of activities for children of all ages to enjoy.

The Headmaster of the Junior School, Mr Paul Marshallsay, and staff will be available to talk to parents throughout the morning.

At the Senior School there will be a host of activities taking place from science experiments to trampolining and drama to biscuit making.

Tours will be available from 9am and the Headmistress, Mrs Jane Prescott, will greet parents in the Senior School Hall with an address at 10.30am.

Ease of mind with ‘Hover Nanny’ service
Portsmouth High School runs a ‘Hover Nanny’ service providing accompanied crossings for younger children from the Ryde hover terminal to the school door in Southsea.
