Staff at Cineworld raised over £200 last weekend with with a fantastic cake sale!
As well as those baked by staff members, delicious cakes were donated by Hannah’s Cakes (Cowes), Frostbite Bakery (Shanklin) and Scarrots Lane Bakery (Newport).
A total of £205.14 was raised.
Around the Island in 24 hours
The fundraising doesn’t end there.
Six Cineworld staff members are planning to walk around the Isle of Wight in 24 hours next month.
This takes place on Monday 7th November (starting at 10pm) with a target of finishing in under 24 hours.

Cycling 2,500 miles
Staff will also have exercise bikes at the Cinema from 14th to 30th October, with the challenge of riding the length of each Cineworld cinema – from one to the next.
This equates to nearly than 2,500 miles (140 each day). Staff members will be taking part, but customers can also help them reach the target.
You can pay £2 to take up the challenge for however many miles you can reach. There will be a prize for the customer who can reach the most miles on their go!
Big Film Quiz
Finally, there will be a ‘Big Film Quiz’ on 17th November, when Cineworld will be inviting teams to enter.
It’ll cost £2 per person, but will be their biggest and most exciting quiz yet!
Cineworld usually run a film quiz each Thursday evening, but this one will be extra special. Teams are invited to join in and dress up for the occasion.
There will be a number of great prizes on offer to those take part and win.
