Informative new short film about the Bonchurch landslide reveals that new fissures and cracks have been identified in the cliff face and behind the landslip area
On the evening of 10th December 2023 residents in the Leeson Road area were evacuated from their homes after a landslide began to take place.
The catastrophic event is considered to be one of the largest landslides recorded on the South Coast of England.
It followed heavy rainfall in the summer and autumn and forced the closure of the main road between Ventnor and Shanklin (Leeson Road).
