Jonathan Bacon

Jonathan Bacon was elected in 2013 as Isle of Wight Councillor for Brading, St Helens and Bembridge. He was also Executive Member for Children’s Services and Corporate Governance and later became leader of the IWC.

He stood for reelection in 2017 but failed to gain enough votes.

He is now the Chair of the IW AONB Partnership.

Sailing Club raises £2,300 for Bembridge Community Library

A happy group of Bembridge Community Library committee members and volunteers take delivery of a £2,312.50 cheque from Bembridge Sailing Club. Bacon challenges Whitehouse claim that legal agreement limits what can be said on Platt case

When challenged on if he'd drop the Jon Platt school case, Cllr Whitehouse stated a legal agreement had been entered into by Cllr Bacon with the DfE limiting what Cllr Whitehouse can say. This morning Cllr Bacon says, "there is no such ‘legal agreement’," presenting what he claims as evidence.
