Wightlink Chief Executive, Keith Greenfield, paid tribute today to the crew of Wight Sky ferry, "who acted in an exemplary manner throughout to deal with the incident and minimise disruption to customers".
Wightlink provide ferry services to the Isle of Wight. They operate car ferry services from two Island ports, Yarmouth and Fishbourne, as well as a foot passenger services from the end of the pier in Ryde.
Wightlink’s Yarmouth car ferry lands in Lymington. The other two services land in Portsmouth.
The ferry service was bought by Australian-based investment bank, Macquarie, in 2005 for just over £230m.
