When you pay your pound to drive up Ryde Pier, you have an hour waiting time included. Wightlink are going to slash that. OnTheWight found this in their press released titled 'Improvements ahead'.
Wightlink provide ferry services to the Isle of Wight. They operate car ferry services from two Island ports, Yarmouth and Fishbourne, as well as a foot passenger services from the end of the pier in Ryde.
Wightlink’s Yarmouth car ferry lands in Lymington. The other two services land in Portsmouth.
The ferry service was bought by Australian-based investment bank, Macquarie, in 2005 for just over £230m.
