Officers have been assisting colleagues from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service following a fire at an address on Monkton Street in Ryde on Sunday, 8th December 2024.
Specialist search teams entered the building today (Tuesday) where, sadly, the body of a man was found.
His next of kin have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
