Eurovia's senior legal team is now scrutinising the dossier of serious allegations made by an Undercliff resident, who received the brush-off from Isle of Wight council and Island Roads.
Although residents are pleased to have a shiny new road, there are fears the lack of drop kerb since resurfacing could result in flooding to their gardens and properties.
It appears that neither Island Roads, nor the Isle of Wight council, have any motivation in helping this Newport pensioner get out and about on his mobility scooter.
As if having to move out of your home unexpectedly wasn’t bad enough, many Undercliff residents had no access their homes after Island Roads put up a new locked gate, with no notice, last week.
Residents say diversion signs were not in place prior to the road closure - which led to traffic chaos on Tuesday evening - Island Roads say signs were in place and ignored.
Work is not expected to start until at least September 2014 say Island Roads, despite the road being closed to two-way traffic for over seven months already.
