Thanks to Ben from the Hospice for more details about how the Hospice is celebrating Team Green Britain National Bike Week. Ed
Cycling is a great, fun, healthy and low-cost way to keep your family active and mobile. It’s vital that young cyclists feel safe and confident on their bikes.
To encourage young cyclists, and to ease their parent’s minds, the Earl Mountbatten Hospice is holding a special ‘Go Ride At Robin Hill’ session on Sunday 19th June.
There will be a chance for new, and more experienced young riders to take on the obstacle course, have lessons and pointers on riding safety, and try out different bikes to find the right size for you and loads more.
Go-Ride Development Programme
Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills.
Cyclists of all ages and abilities are welcome, you can either bring your own bike or we’ll have a selection for you to try out. There is no need to book, simply turn up on the day and join in. If bringing your own bike please bring a helmet.
There will also be different activities and stalls to peruse on the day, and you can even wave off the riders of ‘The Big 8 Cycle Challenge’.
For more information please call Hospice Fundraising on (01983) 528989.
This event is being run as part of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s celebration of Team Green Britain National Bike Week.
