In her work, Hyde attempts to capture fragments of experiences within multiple layers of past and present.
In some paintings, layers are built up using childhood drawings, photographs, letters, words, and maps.
These images are painted over and then scratched into, often destroying the surface.
Paintings become historical tableaux of emotions and events by revealing and hiding imagery and text within their layers.
Hyde has exhibited widely across the south west of England and London.
