For Christmas 2019, Chloe (aged 10) collected a massive 101 tubs of chocolate for the staff at St Mary’s Hospital.
In October 2021 her sister, Katie Barnicoat (14) and neighbours Ruby (14) and Mai (12) Mackay joined her to work together to express both the families’ thanks and gratitude to the NHS Isle of Wight for their amazing work, especially over the last two years.
103 tubs of chocolate
Ruby and Mai have now presented the Friends of St Mary’s with an astounding 103 tubs of chocolate.
They would like to express thanks to Alan Newbery Waste and Recycling and Morrison’s in Lake for their two major contributions to the collection.
Also thanks IMO Car Wash, Ryde and the EE shop High Street, Newport for acting both as collection points, but also making donations themselves.
Thanks also to Grave Concerns IOW, Palladium Group Restart, Victoria Tavern in East Cowes, Old Village Inn in Bembridge, A-Plan Insurance, the Hot Pocket band, the community of Bullen Village, and friends and family of the girls.
