A Shanklin pensioner, who was arrested in Surrey last month and charged with two attempted sexual offences against a child, appeared in court today.
The 70 year old attended his preliminary hearing at Guildford Crown Court.
The man was arrested by Surrey police at Woking railway station on Sunday 20 December.
He was charged with attempting to meet a girl under 16 years, following grooming and attempting to cause/incite the sexual exploitation of a child aged 13-17 years.
The case was adjourned to 19th February and he was held on remand.
