The temperature has suddenly got colder and fuel prices aren’t getting any cheaper.
If you’re concerned about your fuel costs over the winter then you might want to go along on one of the Future Energy events that taking place on the Wight next week.
The aim of the events is to offer some help and advice to those facing high energy bills.
But it’s not just for the benefit of individuals, businesses will also have an opportunity to find out ‘Energy Options, Profits & Savings’ from Business Link on Friday 31 October at the Riverside Centre at 1.30pm, as part of the wider event.
The dates and venues are as follows;
Monday 27th October West Wight Sports Centre, Freshwater
Wednesday 29th October Ryde Theatre, Lind Street, Ryde
Friday 31st October Riverside Centre, Newport Quay
Each event will run from 11am to 4pm
Speaking for the Footprint Trust, Ray Harrington-Vail said,
“During the day, information will be available on insulating homes, modern heating systems and renewable energy. Grants are available for homeowners to modernise their heating systems and insulate their homes and we will be there to explain the details.”
“There are many low cost and no cost ways of saving energy and we welcome this opportunity of meeting local people at the three venues”¦”
All the events are free and open to everyone. The Riverside Centre is wheelchair accessible. Funded by the Footprint Trust’s Big Lottery supported Warmahome project with support from the IW Council.
