Bestival curator, Rob da Bank, is well known for his eclectic taste in music, so it’s no surprise that this year he has invited the Newchurch Male Voice Choir to perform on the same stage as musical legends Kraftwerk and Massive Attack.
At around this time next Saturday morning (from 11.15am) for 15 minutes or so, the Newchurch Male Voice Choir will be singing their hearts out to an appreciative crowd at Robin Hill.
Their set will include classics such as Rhythm of life, Nice ‘n Easy Perry Como medley (Magic moments; And I love you so; Catch a falling star), A-roving (sea shanty), Unchained melody and You’ll never walk alone.
What a fabulous start to the proceedings for the day it’ll make.
There’ll be 34 adorable voices on stage singing under the conductorship of Roy Bevan with Jenny Riddell providing the magic on the piano.
Jetsetters
Not content with performing at one of the greatest festivals in the UK this summer, the choir will be whizzing off the next day by coach to Christchurch to sing in the Priory.
