The IWC inform us this afternoon that there are around 100 seats still available for the Planning Committee meeting taking place this Thursday at 6pm in the main hall of Carisbrooke High School.
The committee will be considering the application to site three wind turbines on land at Cheverton Down, replacing an application that already has consent for three smaller wind turbines.
Live coverage on VB
If you’re not able to attend but would like to stay up to date with the discussions, VentnorBlog will be reporting live (as we do from many other Council meetings).
All you’ll have to do is make sure you’re sitting at your computer from 6pm and keep refreshing your browser.
We’ll do our best to keep you informed about the representations being made and the discussions between members of the Planning Committee.
Steve Allen from Cornwall Light & Power (the applicant) told us last week, even if the committee reject the application (as has been recommended by the officer involved), they will still build the three smaller turbines, which they have consent for but are unfortunately less effective.
