The team behind the ongoing works to the Ventnor Skate Park tell us that more works started today.
The next stage of the project is to continue work on the sea/grind wall.
This morning all the carpentry work was due to take place, building the wooden slatted fence which is hoped to reduce the amount of sea-spray experienced by those using the ramps.
This afternoon the next load of concrete is due to be delivered and work will carry on tomorrow, Thursday and Friday, weather permitting.
Once this is complete, there’ll be a short break before the resurfacing takes place in early spring.
Well done to all the volunteers involved in the project being lead by John Cattle (Wight Trash) and project managed by John Baldry.
