The wonderful thing about Facebook, is not just how it connects people but also how it helps to widen the awareness for charitable campaigns and appeals.
One such campaign that caught our eye yesterday was a request to VB from Shanklin mother, Mandy Fuller, for a donation of £1.
What’s the appeal for?
Gracie-May Fuller (pictured) is a beautiful two year old girl who sadly has Cerebral Palsy.
Along with her twin sister, she was born three months early, spending at least 10 weeks in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit.
Due to Celebral Palsy, Gracie-May is unable to stand on her own or walk.
Her mother, Mandy, is appealing to Facebook users to donate just £1 towards Gracie-May’s chance of a life changing operation in the US.
Dorsal Rhizotomy is the surgical procedure Mandy is hoping the campaign will fund, which if successful, could help Gracie-May walk and lead a fuller life.
At the moment, she can only commando crawl and has to wear hard splints on her feet and legs, day and night.
Please visit the Help Grace Walk Facebook page, donate if you can and help spread the word.
