We’ve had readers asking us for weeks whether we know who is booked for this year’s Osborne House summer gigs and the time has finally come to reveal the lineup.
It might appear a strange day to some (1st April) to make the announcement, but promoters have confirmed to us that Will Young, the original ‘Pop Idol’, will be performing live at Osborne House this summer.
He’ll be making his way to the Isle of Wight and taking to the stage on Saturday 31st July with support provided by the gorgeous Charley Macaulay.
Sunday night is party night, an ’80s Party Night’ in fact, as Bananarama return to the Island for a blast-from-the-past show.
80s freaks are going to love this lineup which sees Rick Astley, ABC, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones and Go West joining the lovely ladies on 1st August.
John Giddings, organiser of Osborne House Summer Concerts and the Isle Of Wight Festival said “We are proud to continue the tradition bringing great artists to the grounds of Osborne House. Both Will Young and Bananarama were such huge success at the Isle of Wight Festival last year that we had to bring them back to the Island!”
Tickets go on sale from today and are priced at £35 for either night or £60 for a weekend ticket (subject to booking fee, natch).
