Wow, these guys are on fire.
It was only a week ago that VB was reporting Lucid’s victory in the RibFest competition, now we’re reporting another win for the five piece band from the Island in the Red Funnel Red Hot Talent Competition.
As our Twitter followers would have read last night, after battling it out at the finals that took place in Southampton, Lucid (YouTube video) managed to impress the judges enough to take first place and win themselves a whole bundle of prizes, including playing at Red Funnel Terminals throughout the summer, as well as at Bestival in September and taking home £1,000 prize money.
Taking a very respectable second place were the talented sister act, also from the Island, Me and My Sister (YouTube video).
Third place was won by mainland act, Nina & Matt (YouTube video).
Congratulations to everyone who took part and especially to Lucid for picking up yet another win!
It was only last Sunday afternoon that we caught Ollie and Blue (or was it Brown?) playing to a heaving audience at the Volunteer in Ventnor.
