At Monday’s Ventnor Town Council (VTC) meeting, the subject of a £28,000 loan from Coors to the VTC was raised.
We were told that the loan is costing the VTC some £278 per month, so it was only natural that the question “what’s it for and who agreed it” was raised.
Cllr Harry Rees was the man behind the questions, with all other councillors agreeing that they’d like answers to the questions too.
Money to refurb?
It was suggested that the monies had gone towards to refurbishment of the bar area.
If you remember prior to Graham Perks taking over the catering concession in 2007 the bar had previously undergone a make-over, which included lots of new furniture and a paint job.
It was agreed that the paper trail would be traced and answers provided to the VTC.
