A new club for those interested in the latest ideas in science and technology launches on the Island this month.
There are many Cafe Scientifique clubs around the country, held in coffee shops or pubs, all aiming to provide a forum for debating science issues in a relaxed environment.
Those organising the events are committed to promoting public engagement with science and to making science accountable.
The first Cafe Scientifique on the Island kicks off with Dr David Martill, a paleontologist who lives at Ryde and is a Reader at Portsmouth University.
Next Monday evening he’ll be talking about giant Pterosaurs. A subject he’s particularly interested in.
