A small section of Newport Road, Ventnor will be closed from Monday (14th) for roadworks which will result in upper and lower Ventnor being cut off from each other.
As no vehicles will be able to pass along the road between Monday 14th and Friday 25th March, buses will be diverted and a shuttle in place to serve Wroxall. Details from Southern Vectis detailed below.
Diversion
Newport Road (Upper Ventnor) will be closed from 9am on Monday 14 March until 5pm on Friday 25 March and a diversion for route 3 will be in place.
In addition a shuttle bus between Wroxall Church and Shanklin and Newport bus stations will be in operation.
The diversion for route 3 towards Ventnor will be Newport Road, Godshill, right into West Street, Whitwell Road, High Street, Ventnor Road, Whitwell Road, left into Gills Cliff Road and right into Ocean View Road to rejoin the normal journey.
The diversion will operate in both directions.
A shuttle bus will operate a half hourly service between Wroxall Church and Shanklin bus station from 5.45am until 5.45pm, then operate an hourly service between Wroxall Church and Newport bus staion from 6.36pm until 11.51pm
