A new reading group in Ryde aims to bring together those who are interested in the long tradition of thinkers and activists.
The group are planning to meet every two weeks and have their first meet-up booked for tomorrow evening from 6.30pm at Yelfs (Union Street).
The group says their aim is “to form an open reading group for people to meet others who are interested in the long tradition of thinkers and activists who saw the shortcomings of the world around them and envisioned better worlds and the ways to get there.”
What the group will discuss depends, they say, on who attends, what interests, ideas, creativity, skills and actions develop as they go along.
