This coming weekend sees the Island Games Opening Ceremony taking place in Ryde. A parade will go through the town, so as you’d expect, there’ll be road closures and bus diversions.
We’ll be issuing details of the road closures later today, in the meantime here are details provided by Southern Vectis of the bus diversions.
All taking place between 4.30pm to 8pm.
During the duration of the procession all services will terminate at Queens Road.
Diversion for Route 4 towards Ryde is Binstead Road, Pellhurst Road, left into Argyll Street, left into West Street, left into Queens Road
Diversion for Route 9 towards Ryde is Binstead Road, Pellhurst Road, left into Argyll Street, left into West Street, left into Queens Road
Diversion for Route 2, 3, 8 and towards Ryde is St Johns Hill, St Johns Road, Green Street, right into West Street, left into Queens Road
Diversion for Downs Breezer towards Ryde is Alexandra Road left into St Johns Hill, St Johns Road, Green Street, right into West Street, left into Queens Road
Diversion for Island Coaster towards Ryde is Appley Road, left into Alexandra Road, St Johns Hill, St Johns Road, Green Street, right into West Street, left into Queens Road
