It may be the beginning of September, but pull out your diaries to make a date for October.
Next month sees the return of Oxjam, Oxfam’s month-long festival.
Hundreds of events will be taking place across the country throughout October and the Isle of Wight is no exception, thanks to the efforts of three Islanders.
Stephanie Joy Norris, Anna Jones and Ian McAndrew have all been working hard to pull together two nights of excellent live music, taking place at Blacksheep Bar in Ryde and House of Legends in Newport.
22 bands playing live
There are many bands already confirmed for the events which take place on 7th and 8th October.
Look forward to seeing The Shutes, Guy Page Trio, A Way of Life, Meet The Public, Yours and Mine, The Golden Strands, Radical Monk, Any Road (aka the John Weldon Experience), Arizona 81, Claydon Connor, Gareth Icke, The Ohmz, Me and My Sister, Stu Collins acoustic set, In Motion, The Vecks, Marc Dyer and David Bird.
Both events are free with the intention of raising money for Oxfam through donations.
