Thanks to Julia Hill from Wight Residents against Aspahlt Plant (WRAP) for sharing this new information in relation to the application for an environmental permit for the proposed asphalt plant at Medina Wharf. Ed
WRAP has received a number of requests for clarification regarding a recent application by Eurovia for Environmental Permits. A consultation period ending 5th December 2012 is under-way.
Some WRAP supporters are confused about how the Environmental Permits relate to the Planning Application.
What Is The Difference Between The Planning Process And The Permit Process?
The application for Environmental Permits is separate to the application for Planning Permission.
Although everyone who has objected to the planning application should have received a letter about this environmental permit application.
Planning Permission is required in order for Eurovia to build the proposed plant.
Environmental Permits are required in order for Eurovia to operate the processes of the plant.
Please see the WRAP Website for more detail on the application and how you can comment.
