The first meeting of the Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel under the new Independent-led Isle of Wight council takes place next week (Wednesday 12th at 5pm).
Hampshire partnership
The meeting, chaired by Cllr John Howe, will discuss the proposed strategic partnership with Hampshire County Council with regard to the delivery of children’s services and the roles and responsibilities of all partners in the delivery of improvements.

Safeguarding
In addition, the new scrutiny panel will also review the progress being made with regard to the actions being taken following the Ofsted inspection of the Council’s child protection arrangements and consider how the panel can assist in the effective delivery of improvements
