In just under three weeks, members of the NUT and NASUWT are planning to stage a one-day strike across the country.
Details of which schools on the Isle of Wight will be affected is not yet known, but the council advise,
“Please remember that teachers are not required to inform their school if they are planning on taking part in strike action until the day itself, so some schools may not be in a position to confirm if they are open, partially closed or closed until the day of the strike action.”
They go on to say that parents,
“Should always assume your child’s school is open as normal unless advised otherwise.”
We’ll keep you informed beforehand and on the day of any developments.
