Zoe Sadler is an Isle of Wight artist and illustrator with a dream. She has a love of reading fairytales and her penchant for old-fashioned dip pen and pot of ink inspires her to create quirky hand drawn illustrations for both adults and children.
You may have seen her work around the Island in the Style of Wight Magazine, the House of Chilli and Lander & May.
Zoe’s dream
Later this year, Zoe has an exhibition of her illustration work at Quay Arts Centre in Newport.
She plans, with the help of Kickstarter and supporters, to produce a 32 page full colour children’s paperback picture book entitled The Lighthouse Keeper: A Cautionary Tale.
Zoe says,
“This project and the production of the ‘Lighthouse Keeper’ as my first book is a really important milestone for me. Not only is this project a culmination of much of my creative work to date but it also pinpoints a new direction within my work.
“I have always had a really strong passion for books and book illustration, in particular for children, and this is the direction I am focussing toward with my illustration work.”
Make your pledge
Zoe’s Kickstarter project already has 68 backers with £2,718 of the £4,000 goal pledged. There are a range of items you can pledge for, priced from £5 to £1,000 support – all offering something tangible in return.
She has just ten days days left to make sure she can secure the other £1,282. If Zoe doesn’t have at least £4,000 pledged by Tuesday 11th March the project cannot go ahead.
