Following the dreadful news last night that vandals had damaged both of Ryde Inshore Rescue’s lifeboats, Kay Ounsworth got in touch saying that she wanted to do something to help raise money for repairs.
Kay has decided to do something rather novel – and perhaps timely given the great weather summer we’re having – and is looking for sponsorship to go about her business in jut a swimming costume for three days.
Kay says she quite shy and actually terrified about doing the task, so well done to her for being so brave.
If you spot a woman donning a cossie when doing her shopping, you can be pretty sure it’ll be Kay, doing her bit for this vital Independent lifeboat service that relies wholly on donations.
Kay said,
“After hearing about the vandalism to Ryde Inshore Rescue’s Lifeboats on the Isle of Wight, I decided that a swimming costume themed fundraiser would be Apt.
“I will be wearing a swimming costume for three days while going about my daily business in hope that it will raise much needed extra funds.”
