BRADING:
Quay Lane will be closed from Friday 8 August 2014 until Friday 31 October 2014 between High Street and a point 735 metres to the East of the junction with High Street. The closure is necessary for water main replacement works by Clancy Docwra for Southern Water. There is no diversion route however access will be maintained in emergency situations. Marshcombe Shute. One way restriction. A one way restriction is in operation in Marshcombe Shute in an Eastbound direction (towards Bembridge) from a point 45 metres to the East of Yarbridge Crossroads to Yaverland Road junction from 3.30pm on Tuesday 16 September until approx. early November 2014. The one way restriction is necessary due to the installation of larger safety barriers which have been erected in the interests of road safety by Island Roads adjacent to the railway and River Yar bridges. The alternative route for all traffic travelling in a Westbound towards Yarbridge Crossroads Brading direction will be; B3395 Yaverland Road and Culver Parade, Fort Street, Avenue Road A3055 Morton Road and Morton Common. Permanent barrier should hopefully be installed by approx. early November 2014 when a full road closure of a few days will be required.

FRESHWATER:
Cameron Close will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7am on Monday 18 November 2013 until 7am on Monday 18 May 2015 between the northern boundary of number 2 (45 metres north of the junction with Camp Road) and the end of the surfaced highway (110 metres to the northeast of Camp Road). The closure is required for the demolition of existing buildings and construction of a new development by Stoneham Construction Ltd. There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic. North Walk, Ryde from point 250 metres to the west of Canoe Lake Road to a point 100 metres to the west of the Canoe Lake Road between 8am on Monday 15 September until approx. 4.30pm on Friday 31 October 2014 for the construction of a new pumping station by K Coghlan for the Isle of Wight Council. Some parking will be available in the first section of North Walk, nearest to the Esplanade during the works. The one-way restriction in Canoe Lake Road (from North Walk to Appley Rise) will be temporarily suspended to allow access to Appley Park/Car Park.

Torchlight procession
A procession is due to leave from High Street (from St. Mary’s Church) at 6.30pm on Tuesday 7 October 2014, along the following route; High Street, Cross Street, George Street and High Street, Star Street, High Street finishing at St. Mary’s Church. Each road will be closed for a short period between approx. 6pm and 8pm to enable a torchlight procession organised by St Marys Church in the High Street to pass by. ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton
Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. The Isle of Wight Council, working with partner agencies including Island Roads and with support from the army, led an operation in February to help residents of nine properties in Undercliff Drive (in an area known as ‘Woodlands’) remove possessions from their homes after they were advised to leave for safety reasons. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation from Saturday 15 February for the foreseeable future. Island Roads’ work in the road has been suspended and the road will remain closed until the ground has stabilised and further monitoring can be carried out to determine its future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive. A one way restriction will be in operation from La Falaise car Park to Belgrave Road between 9am on Tuesday 29 October 2013 until approx. further notice. The restriction is due to the reduction in road for the protection to masonry at retaining wall R1074 above a property called Seacourt.
