Isle of Wight Fire Service were called to a road traffic incident just after 5pm today (Sunday).
Island Roads reported that Police had called for the road to be closed between the junction of Leeson Road and Cowleaze Hill after an fatal incident.
The County Press report that Police and the air ambulance were also called to the scene, but a motorcyclist died at the scene following a collision with a car.
