OnTheWight will be reporting live from the public meeting being held at Shanklin Theatre from 7.30pm tonight (Tuesday).
The meeting has been organised by the cross-party group ‘Keep Island Line Franchise’ (KILF), who want to hear the views of those who use the train line between Shanklin and Ryde Pier Head. The current franchise for Island Line trains comes to an end in 2017 and the campaign group are fighting for it to remain within the South East franchise rather than be separated out.
