Thanks to Michaela for sharing details of this latest community effort. Ed
Following on from many successful fundraising events over the past couple of years including the popular Prince & Princess Ball, a new charitable organisation has been formed on the Isle of Wight with the aim to continue to support local causes which help Island children.
The Prince & Princess Society IOW has been formed over the past few months and we are now in a position where we can officially ask for voluntary donations and support, which will then be forwarded as grants of either equipment or funds to organisations when they need it.
Complementing current support
The society is run by volunteers who all have years of experience at running charities and being involved in voluntary work and we will continue to organise our own fundraising events whilst accepting donations from anyone who wishes to support our work.
The society does not want to compete with any charity or organisation already supporting children, instead our aims are to support those already in existence when they need a bit of extra help; be that with specific equipment or to cover a one off cost for a project they are working on.
It is hoped that our fundraising events will continue to be popular and well supported and if anyone wishes to hold a fundraising event for us we would be grateful of any support.
How you can help
Details of how to support the organisation are on their facebook page and details of how to apply for support from the society will also be announced on there in the near future.
