Following several months of hard work, the end is in sight for the completion of the new Totland seawall footpath, that has been rebuilt following in the Landslide in December 2012.
The opening bash takes place on 13th September and all are invited to pop along to join in the celebrations.
Where and when
The fun kicks-off at 1.45pm on Sunday (13th September). Simply head to The Waterfront pub in Totland Bay.
At 2pm, those gathered will walk along the sea wall to the base of the new path, led by well-known samba band, Fat Samba.
The official opening ceremony will take place at approximately 2.30pm followed by the first public walk over the new path, pausing at the top to hear the Brighstone Barnacles perform seas shanties to celebrate the path’s opening.
Party on
Following that, everyone is encouraged to walk along to Colwell Bay and the Longbeach Bar for more of the Brighstone Barnacles
