Police have confirmed the body of a kayaker found on Isle of Wight beach has finally been identified.
The body of a man in his 20s-30s was found in a kayak on the beach in Sandown five weeks ago on 11th September.
They say his next of kin have been informed. Once formal identification procedures have been completed details of his name will be released.
Police say,
“We would like to thank the public for all their assistance in sharing our appeal.”
