ARRETON
Hazely Combe will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Saturday 5 March until Tuesday 8 March 2016. The closure is between A3056 Arreton Street and the end of the highway for carriageway repair works outside number 20 by Island Roads. There is no alternative route for traffic.
BEMBRIDGE:
Sandown Road (opposite the entrance to Bembridge Airport). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am and 3.30pm on each day between Tuesday 15 March and Thursday 17 March 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Lane End Road will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Wednesday 9 March until Friday 11 March 2016. The closure is between Foreland Farm Road and the end of the highway for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. There is no alternative route for traffic.
BONCHURCH:
Balaambs Passage footpath will be closed from 8.30pm on Friday 8 January until 8.30pm on Friday 29 July 2016 between Bonchurch Village Road and The Pitts. The route for pedestrians will be: Bonchurch Village Road, Bonchurch Shute and The Pitts. The road closure is required until retaining wall repair works have been undertaken.
BRADING:
New Road will be closed for 5 nights during the period between 7.30pm on Monday 7 March and 6.30am on Friday 18 March 2016 from Marshcombe Shute to West Street. BRIGHSTONE:
Grange Road (near junction with Military Road)
Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016 for carriageway repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Hunny Hill (near the junction with Galley Lane). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am and 3.30pm on each day between Tuesday 15 March and Thursday 17 March 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
CARISBROOKE:
Castle Street (Outside 16). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Tuesday 1 March until 4.30pm on Monday 7 March 2016 for the installation of a new gas service by Southern Gas Networks. Traffic delays will occur.
CHALE:
Upper House Lane will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Saturday 5 March until Tuesday 8 March 2016. The closure is between Church Place and the end of the highway for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.
COWES:
Newport Road will be closed from approx. 9am on Wednesday 13 January 2016 until 4pm on Thursday 24 March 2016 between Three Gates Road and Nodes Road. The road closure is for the installation of a new 450mm size water main. The route for diverted traffic will be: Three Gates Road, Place Road and Nodes Road. The works form part of a new water main project between Three Gates Road, along Newport Road to the Newport side of Northwood traffic lights.
Church Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 29 February until 4pm on Wednesday 9 March 2016, between a point 85 metre to the north of Union Road and Castle Road. The one way restriction will be suspended to allow access. The road closure is for sewer relining works by P Fitzsimmons Dyno Rod.
Ward Avenue will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm for approximately 5 to 10 days and nights between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. The closure is from Park Road to Baring Road for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Victoria Road (outside 61) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation for the installation of a new vehicle access by Dial A Rod Engineering services between 9am on Wednesday March and 4pm on Tuesday 15 March 2016. Traffic delays are likely.
EAST COWES:
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip.
A3021 Whippingham Road (opposite Heathfield Cottages). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Thursday 10 March and Monday 14 March 2016 for drainage repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
FISHBOURNE:
Elenors Grove will be closed from 7.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Monday 7 March and Friday 1 April 2016. Dolcoppice Lane will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period between Saturday 5 March and Tuesday 8 March 2016. The closure is between Appleford Lane and the end of the highway for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.
GUNVILLE:
Gunville Road (between Green Finch Close and The Bramleys). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Monday 29 February and Friday 18 March 2016 for the construction of a Zebra Crossing by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic: Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. The closure is required due to erosion. Pedestrian access will be maintained as usual.
A3055 Sandown Road (from Winchester House to Cemetery Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 9 May and Friday 13 May 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A one way restriction will be in operation from 9am on Tuesday 8 March until 5pm on Friday 11 March 2016, along The Western side of the traffic Island (at the Southern end of The Fairway) in a Northeast direction from A3055 Lake Hill to The Fairway. All Eastbound traffic will be diverted. The one way restriction is for electric cable repair works.
NETTLESTONE:
Nettlestone Hill / Nettlestone Green will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. The closure is from Caws Avenue to the Northern end of Nettlestone Green triangle for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Pallance Lane will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Monday 7 March until Friday 11 March 2016. The closure is between Pallance Road and Wyatts Lane for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.
RYDE:
Bullen Road will be closed for a period of 5 days during the period from 9am on Monday 29 February and 5pm on Thursday 24 March 2016 between Pondwell Close and Gregory Avenue. The road closure is for the construction of a new footway by Island Roads.
West Street will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Friday 11 March until Tuesday 15 March 2016. The closure is between Spencer Road and Lind Street for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.
Playstreet Lane will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Monday 22 February until Friday 26 February 2016. Ferncliff Path will be closed to pedestrians from 9am on Monday 22 February until 4pm on Friday 18 March 2016 The closure is between Esplanade and Ferncliff Road for safety works by Island Roads. The alternative route for pedestrians will be: Esplanade, Pier Street, Beachfield Road and Ferncliff Road.
Avenue Road (outside 56). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Monday 7 March 2016 for cable repair works by A/plant for British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
A one way restriction will be in operation in Station Avenue for a period of 5 days during the period from 9am on Monday 29 February until 4pm on Friday 18 March 2016 in a Westbound direction between A3055 Broadway and Hill Street. All Eastbound traffic will be diverted. The one way restriction is for the construction of a new footway and tactile crossing scheme by Island Roads. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at the junction of A3055 Broadway and Station Avenue.
SHANKLIN:
Cliff Path will be closed from 9.30am on Monday 20 January 2014 for the foreseeable future to pedestrians from Skew Bridge Path to Winchester House Car Park. The closure is required due to erosion/ land movement. During the period of closure the alternative route for pedestrians will be; Skew Bridge Path, A3055 Sandown Road and Winchester House Car Park.
A3055 Sandown Road (from Alresford Road for approx. 300 metres towards Lake). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 7am on each night (Mondays to Fridays- not Bank holiday Monday 2 May 2016) between Thursday 21 April and Monday 9 May 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
James Avenue (Chelsfield Road to James Avenue). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Thursday 10 March and Monday 21 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Green Lane (from Wheeler Way to Chelsfield Avenue). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 6 April and Tuesday 19 April 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.

ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained. During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Pedestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Public Footpath V81, V77, NT28, NT29, NT30 and A3055 Undercliff Drive. Alum Bay New Road will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. VENTNOR:
Longdown Steps Public Footpath V102 will be closed from 10am on Monday 12 May 2014 for the foreseeable future between South Street and St Catherine’s Street. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons using the footpath until wall repair works have been undertaken. The diversion route for pedestrians will be; South Street, West Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Wheelers Bay Road and St Catherine’s Street.
Castle Road (between Zig Zag Road and Gills Cliff Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Tuesday 30 December 2014 until approx. August 2016 until retaining wall works have been completed by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Castle Close will be closed on one day between Saturday 5 March and Tuesday 8 March 2016, from 9am until 4pm between Castle Road and Castle Court. The road closure is for carriageway repair works outside number 6 & 10, near the junction with Castle Road by Island Roads.
Spring Hill (between Grove Road and St Boniface Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 7 March and Tuesday 15 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
WHIPPINGHAM:
Public Footpath N214 will be closed from Crematorium Road to Public Footpath N114 between 9am on Wednesday 5 August 2015 and 9am on Friday 26 February 2016. The closure is required until urgent repair works have been undertaken to B171 Whippingham Cattle Creep. The alternative route for pedestrians is; Crematoriums Road, A3054 Lushington Hill, Racecourse and Fairlee Road.
WHITELEY BANK:
A3020 Shanklin Road (outside Fields) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 10m on Monday 22 February until approx. 4.30pm on Thursday 3 March 2016 for emergency gas main repair works by Southern Gas Networks. Traffic delays will occur.
WHITWELL:
Ford Farm Lane will be closed on one day between Friday 4 March and Tuesday 8 March 2016, from 9am until 4pm between Newport Road to a point 150 metres to the Northeast. The road closure is for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.

A3054 High Street / Kite Hill will be closed on approx. 7 nights from 7.30pm until 6am on each night (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 15 February and approx.
