We mentioned last week that there was only about a week to go before the current exhibition in the Learning Curve Gallery at Quay Arts finishes.
We popped up there today and were stunned by the amazing quality of works that have been produced by year nine to thirteen students from Medina High School.
We urge anyone who hasn’t seen the exhibition yet, to make sure you do before the weekend as it comes down on the 10th March.
The diversity of styles is excellent, but one things is for sure – the talent is endless.
It was interesting to see how many of the works which are on display are by young ladies. There were pieces in there by lads, but they were outnumbered (as far as we could see).
We have some other exciting information coming later about several students from the Wight having their artwork displayed at the Saatchi Gallery (check back later for more info).
We’d like to say well done to all the students who have their works displayed in the Learning Curve Gallery, including local girls Ananya Middleton-Rao and Annie Leonard, you really are a credit to the Island’s creativity.
Yes, the above is a painting not a photo.
