There are 13 providers on the Isle of Wight offering their services to the 14,000+ 11-19 year olds. Just over half way through the grant period (2014-17) the Children's Committee is updated on progress of the providers.
The Isle of Wight Council has received a large number of applications to deliver the new youth offer across the Island, ranging from an Island-wide provision to single activities in key geographical areas.
Applications are being invited from the business, community and voluntary sectors for funding to deliver the Island’s new-look youth services from 1 October this year.
Proposals for the future of the Isle of Wight Council’s youth service are to go before the council’s Executive on 8 April following the Root and Branch Review of Youth Services.
