Adopt-A-Garden shortlisted for Future Friendly Awards

Well done to the Footprint Trust for getting onto the awards shortlist, do vote if you can. Ed

Adopt a Garden logoThe Island’s popular Adopt-A-Garden scheme has been shortlisted for a national award – the only one from the Isle of Wight and one of only six in the South East.

To date, the project has helped over 60 people – matching those who can no longer look after their garden with someone who has no growing space of their own.

Vote to support the scheme
Voting has just opened and will close on 21st August 2011 and Islanders are being urged to visit Future Friendly and support this Isle of Wight initiative.

If Adopt-A-Garden attracts enough votes to become an Awards finalist in the south East area, the scheme will receive £1,000 to expand its work.

A panel of expert judges will then select one national winner to receive the top prize of £10,000 in funding to help support their project, to be announced at an Awards event in London this September.
