I asked my dear friend Tam Ying Wah (thanks Paul), what characteristics of the Dog mean for the upcoming year?
Well, the sign of the Dog is known as being loyal, faithful and honest. People born in this year always stick to their firm codes of ethics, and have a keen sense of right and wrong (dog walkers pay attention). They aim to live right, look out for the little people and fight injustice whenever possible.
The Dog’s discerning nature means that he is an excellent business man. His guarded nature evolves into a keen sense of the truth of another’s motives. This tendancy may mean that Dogs often have difficulty in love and finding their right match. Their most compatible signs are the Tiger or the Horse. Year of Dog will improve romantic luck for people born in year of Snake or Pig.
Again in friendships, Dogs sometimes have trouble trusting others as they don’t always live up to their exacting standards. However, the occasional white lie aside, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more loyal friend.
So what does this mean for 2006? The Dog is an ethical yet idealistic sign, and the Dog year will also bring increased social awareness around the world. This coming year will generally be supportive with a clear sense of justice, relief, harmony and peace prevailing worldwide. There will be widespread feeling of generosity and selflessness which will affect us all … lets hope this includes the minority of dog walkers in Ventnor who do not clean up after their pooches.
