Police are appealing for a possible witness to come forward after an allegation of assault in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight.
Enquiries are continuing into reports of a dispute between a man and a woman outside the Gouldings residential home in St. Andrew’s Way between 3pm and 3.20pm on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
It’s alleged the dispute continued with an assault taking place inside a dark blue Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max Plus 4 x 4 vehicle, which was then driven around the local community.
A woman was seen walking a dog in the area around the same time. Police believe she was a witness to this dispute and assault.

Newport woman arrested
A 24-year-old woman from Newport, Isle of Wight was arrested on April 18, 2012 on suspicion of assault, and bailed until May 11, 2012 pending further enquiries.
